Color Palette Generator →
LOVE this color palette generator!! This design link actually ties into why I’ve been MIA for a while - I’ve been crazy busy planning my wedding and in the midst of it have become absolutely enamored with Pinterest as an inspiration board/planning platform. Saw this link on there today and I’ll be sure to use it for both wedding and website planning (<3)!

"Green" Bicycle →
Such a brilliant green design! You can attach the “bloom” device to your bike and it blows bubbles while you ride. These bubbles contain seedlings which are dispersed into sidewalk cracks, etc, creating a green landscape wherever you go.

QR Code + Howcast + Ikea →
I love when technology + design come together. Howcast presented a blind pitch to Ikea recommending connecting Howcast instruction videos for putting furniture together with Ikea product QR codes. Such a great idea!

Pure CSS Rotating Coke Can →
I’ve been meaning to post this for a while. Using no JavaScript and just pure CSS, Román Cortés was able to create a rotating Coke can.
He figured out that “by a combination of the CSS1 properties background-attachment and background-position, 2D displacement maps could be created and, by scrolling, the displacement map would be applied to different parts of the texture (a...

Custom 404 Error Pages →
I’m pretty into these custom 404 error pages. I’m a firm believer in a personalized 404 error page, not just for a lowered bounce rate and increased page views, but also because it makes me feel better when websites admit that they’ve fucked up.
+edit+
My friend, Sarah, just pointed me to another great 404 error page on the NPR website.
